A valuation you can't check isn't worth anything. If looking up a set required a subscription, nobody would ever find out whether the numbers are any good — and there are free sites that will answer the same question, so a paywall there loses on both trust and competition.
What's worth paying for is different: work that happens while you're asleep. Watching two hundred sets, noticing one dropped below your buy-below price, and emailing you about it is a service. Looking up a number is a reference.
When Pro starts charging
When alerts actually fire. That needs retail price feeds from retailer affiliate programmes, which are in progress. Until then, charging for a promise would be charging for nothing.
How the site makes money now
Links to eBay listings may be affiliate links, which pay a small commission at no cost to you. They never influence a value — those are calculated from market data before any commercial consideration, and the method is written down so you can check.
